Newspaper ( Collections of my recipes)

My hobby over the years has been collecting recipes. I have been collecting recipes from all around the world. It was my hobby to collect recipes from different magazines and newspapers. But most of my recipes are from the newspapers.I normally try out those recipes during my free time at home.I have some old cuts outs and handwritten once. What actually made me start collecting recipes from the newspaper was,one day I came across with a column filled with recipes by a celeberity chef, Amy Beh.It immediately caught my eyes. There was tons of recipes in the page. Believe it or not , the recipes were all very simple and direct. I have been collecting her recipes since I don't know when. Let's say since 7 years ago till today. Basically, every Tuesday  will be the only day me flipping through the newspaper (BHAHAHAHA) ! Just for the recipes.

Considering most of the recipes from Amy Beh which I have tried have turned out well. So ,here are some pictures of it :)

Social Learning Theory ( The Force : Volkswagen Commercial)

Well, as you can see this post is going to be about Social Learning Theory. Based on the advertisement above , you can see that the little kid there was trying to inmate and follow the character from the movie Star Wars. He was all dressed up looking like the character,Lord Vader. The little kid started behaving like the character. For instance,he actually visualized himself having some sort of power in him. This is a clear example of social learning theory.

The Limited effect theory ( social cognitive theory) !

"Why this kolaveri" ? This was actually a song that was released last year. It's a song from the Tamil movie 3,which is directed by superstar Rajinikanth's daughter,Aishwarya. Dhanush,Rajinikanth's son-in-law has sung the song,he also stars in the film with Kamal Hassan's daughter Shruti Hassan. How much bigger can it get ? Within days,"Kolaveri Di" song became most-searched Youtube video in the world ! 23 million hits on youtube ever since the song was launched and still increasing. How awesome is that ?!!! The so fly high famous song,"Why this kolaveri" was transcending geographical boundaries, gaining international acclaim and made people groove to its unusual rhythm in discos and nightclubs all over the globe.

Since,"Why this kolaveri di" became the first regional song to be played by radio stations around the country. People around the world started doing their own version/styles of "Why this kolaveri". Looking at the amount of covers that they have on youtube,at least there is 10 different styles which has been delivered by those talented people out there around the world. Taboo,The game of unspeakable fun !

I really enjoyed my media appreciation tutorial class tremendously today.I find most of my classes pretty challenging but it was different today. It was one of a kind because Mr.Hardip , my lecturer  gave us the opportunity to try out this brainy board game called the "Taboo". Well , most of them never heard about the game. I have it at home but never once bother playing it. My brother bought it few years ago, he normally playes it with his friends. Anyway , since I know how the game works now,I shall play it with my friends. Basicly, this is how Taboo works.Taboo is played by two teams. The object of the game is to correctly identify as many words as possible in one minute, like DUHHHH!.It comes with a deck of double-sided word cards. Each side contains six words, one in large, colored print at the top, the rest in smaller black print beneath. On a team's turn, one member of the team becomes the clue giver and loads a stack of cards into the provided card holder. When the timer is started, the clue giver tries to get his teammates to say the word at the top of the first card.Simple, right? Not necessarily.

How did I find the game  ?

Hmmmmm,it may be a little daunting when you first start playing but you will find that you ease right in. It's funny when you crack your brain trying to come up with an alternative only then realise it's already on the card. Really good game  to boost your creativity.Besides that, with all the adrenaline rush, sometimes you may try to describe the word before even looking at the taboo words! The competitive spirit to get more words than the opposing team is what makes the game fun and exciting. Overall , what else can I say...it was a fantastic game full of laughter and fun-I think the people at the same block could hear us playing Taboo since we were loud  !

So I have played Taboo with a huge variety of people(my awesome classmates) and all have been delighted. It's quick, easy to learn, and anyone can play it. If you buy only one game this year, make it Taboo. They have the new version of it , mine is way to old !

D.E.L.I.C.A.T.E.S.S.E.N

Delicatessen ! Wish I could  pronounce it perfectly in french.Anyway, delicatessen is a brilliant French film made twenty years ago in 1991 by Marc Caro & Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It is a post-apocalyptic film, in a sense. It is a post-apocalyptic film in the best sense, or rather it illustrates exactly what I love about the genre. It was simply made easy and it was made well and it shows you, through the absence of our present culture, what the film-makers think is radical about human nature 'underneath' social norms ( an expected form of behavior in a given situation).

Basically, the movie was about a futuristic world where food shortage have led the butcher to serve up human flesh after murdering the local. I know, ewwwww ! The acting was superb with Dominique Pinon in it. He was the lead actor,a clown out of work who takes a job as the maintenance man for the block of flats. There was where the story takes place. His lovely relationship with the butcher's daughter, which is played by Marie-Laure Dougnac. She is so sweet and tender looking.

The flow of the film was so mesmerising , the cinematography was gorgeous too, which in itself is worth to watch. Not to forget , the bed spring test it is totally hilarious , the failing suicide attempts and the sex scene between the butcher and his lover shot from under the bed was funny as hell. Could not stop laughing. The awkward moment when you are watching it with your lecture in front of you.

Well, so far I have enjoyed the film. The film was so fun and a lot of wonderful imaginative.Just got to sit back and enjoy the film with an open mind. You will for sure love it.

A NEW DANCE BEGINS

Anyone who loves watching any kind of dance (and, based on the popularity of the TV shows "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Dancing With The Stars," there are a few of you who do) will find something to appreciate and admire.I truly admire because I am a dancer on my own. Well , I am a lillte girl with a serious passion for dance. That's me ! Basiclly , I started dancing when I was about 4 years old. At the age of 13 , I went for hip pop classes. The passion towards dancing grew even more after that. I stopped attending the classes half way due to my SPM examination, was all busy and packed up with work. Then early this year I sprained my ankle. It took me a long time to recover. Now I am eagerly wanting to learn salsa . Can't wait to get back on the dance floor !

Speaking about dance, the movie Step Up 4 : Miami Heat really blew me off the grown. All the dancing is mesmerizing, with highly original set pieces, contemporary routines and a sort of revolutionary organised chaos that will definitely appeal to the teen demographic most likely to go and watch these films.

One step can change your world huh ?. Very enjoyable movie! Great moves! Strength of will and right attitude are the main ingredients for getting what you want. It is not always about being in the right place at the right time. Overall Step Up Revolution may be one of the better movies of this series, with awesome moves, fitting soundtrack, and decent acting, it's definitely refreshing for the audience. However it is still a dance movie with a lot of skewing towards dancing and less to story, so don't expect masterpiece.

What is your favourite music Genre ?

Well my favourite music genre is Pop/R&B. ( Pitbull , David Guetta , Lady gaga , Katy Perry , Flo Rida and Nick Minaj .) This is used to be what I classed  as "driving music"-when I used to drive I listen to their song. Keeps me wide awake.

I am someone who really appreciate music. Music is life.! Every beat, every tone of the music is the rhythm of soul.I often like to rip with some bounce-around-kitchen music when I am doing my chores(since my maid left last month). Not to forget , it has been already a year since I joined in a vocal class nearby my place. I really had the interest and passion for it. It run's in the genes !

Through vocal classes what I explored was that it really made me feel like an artist and helped me further my understanding of vocal technique , musical terminology , breath control , and dramatic interpretation . I strongly believe that this would  help me achieve my dreams which is actually having an album of my own. It's still in progress. No matter what , I will never stop chasing my dreams.
